    There is no dimension limit for images in posts on currently, but images may be scaled down to fit in the width of the post.

    ....Is there a forum where one can post photographic images and the like? I've snouted about, but can't decide.

    No worries :)

    Your best bet for posting photographs etc would probably be the Creative forum
