I'm wanting to make a cape jacket type thing - large bell shaped arms still part of the body, an A shape, preferably with a hood and something thats just above hip level. Doesn't matter what weight as long as its DK or higher. I've searched and searched and come up with nothing. Am I describing a swing jacket? I've looked under so many terms, googled, used ravelry. I'm stumped! Any ideas?

Are you thinking one piece, or open (or button/zip) up the front?
Are these similar at all?

Having separate sleeves would be good. The second from last is kinda like it but a little short
So make it longer?
Hawthorne or shape-shifter are the closest I can find. You could also add a hood to the Batwing sleeve cardigan or the Mod coat (made shorter).
