Hello everyone
As some of you might know, I'm heading away from YouthNet Towers and out into the big wide world at the end of August - eeeep! I've worked for YouthNet for almost five years and after lots of cool stuff including two marathons, meeting the queen, swimming with JimV, having Jo7 stay over in my bed (nothing gossipworthy- she just couldn't get home ), Bananagrams at weekenders and lots and lots of wonderful chats - it's time for a change!
I will be studying Journalism and Media at Birkbeck with a view to doing more mental health and support journalism and writing. I'll also be doing some more freelance and part time work for Mind and other places. Plus, one day, I'll get my own book written (*looks in awe at Holly Bourne our resident author who you can meet in chat next week*).
BUT, noone ever leaves YouthNet completely (muhahahhaa) and I'm going to accept this early on. Plus I'd miss you all too much. So I am going to carry on chat and board modding as a volunteer :thumb:
So there won't be much difference for everyone here. I'll still be around to chat and hopefully will be able to spend a bit more time on the boards too. But it does mean I won't be around for weekenders, other events or in the office when people come avisiting - and of course there'll be an exciting new staff member at some point too...
So just a little bit of goodbye, but not very much...
See you all in chat on the 18th

" So I say thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing, thanks for all the joy they're bringing, who can live without it, I ask in all honestly what would life be? Without a song or a dance, what are we? So I say thank you for the music, for giving it to me "
