F1 and camera lens

Hey everyone

I'm heading to Spa for the grand prix in August and I'm looking to buy/hire a better lens. I have an Olympus E600 DSLR with a 18-40mm lens at the moment. We are sitting at Eau Rouge so quite far away from the track. Can anyone suggest a suitable lens for more close up shots? I'd be extremely grateful for any advice or links to sites

I've only ever had Canon's so not sure about what range Olympus have, but I would say a telephoto lens that can go to 250-300mm range would be useful... and make sure if you can, that the lens has image stabilization, this will help to steady the picture because even though telephoto lenses are good, there is always the inevitable hand wobbling that might blur the images... oh and it might be worth investing in a lens hood to keep out the sun rays.

You need something long and fast. Which will probably also make it Quite Expensive.

Though I think the olympus equivalent is a little bit more expensive.
