Hi, i wanted to start this thread to get some recommendations, this is tough as ive been told a film is good before by a friend before now and i thought it was terrible, but nevertheless...

Whats best last two films you see that you enjoyed.

The last 2 memerable films i see were:

Wrong turn at Lake Tahoe - not my usual choice of film, infact i didnt even rent it, they put the wrong disc in the case so i watched it anyway and actually quite enjoyed it for what it was.

The Princess Bride (1987)
- Dont know how i only just found out about this fairytale classic but i well enjoyed it...

Ghost dog is just immense, well worth £3! Ichi the killer is also amazing, and even though I said I like violent films this one even had me flinching quite a lot! Doesn't exactly hold back in terms of being graphic

Ghost Dog is amazing. Seen it like three times. I love the fact that Ghost Dog's best friend is the french ice vendor even tho he does not speak a single word french. Made more realistic that the ice vendor speaks only french without subtitles so you aren't able to understand him either.

    Going to add:
    L.A. Crash

Can't think of any other on top of my head, right now however.

oh Itchi even made me cringe it's that violent and horrific, I never did understand the plot all that well..

I'd go for some of my favourates here,

Convoy (1978) Classic with Kris Kristofferson (Blade Triology & Payback) and an all time underated or non well known in Ernest Borginine (Airwolf) oh I do love the film :)

300 (2006) This is a newer film, most should've seen it but I do love it. I'm a buff for military history and sometimes films make me cringe, is 300 accurate? hell no, is it fun to watch, HELL YES. ok some things in it are the most absurd things ever, men with squid arms etc but hey.. it's a deffo fun film.

Hotaru no haka or "Grave of the Fireflies" (1988) if I had to pick a all time classic/favourate film this is it. One of the best movies of all time and being a fan of Anime also made it better. It tells the story of what it was like to live in WWII Japan as a civilian. Very powerful, very moving and will bring a tear to the most hardened of people.

Itchi the killer has been mentioned but also the Anime version of the Live action is also a must.

    Enjoy!!!

I have that on my to-watch pile but never get round to watching it. I've been told to expect awesome things. Spirited Away made me well up, such was its beauty.

I really liked the Coen brothers' new offering "The Man Who Wasn't There". Trippy, as is usually their style, but superbly acted as always. Gandolfini and Thornton are excellent.

Killing Zoe, real gritty film, Eric Stoltz starring.. Written & directed by Roger Avery.. 1993
Tarantino-esque kind of. Same year as his brilliant True Romance came out.
