Could anyone tell me how (or if it's even possible) to connect my laptop to a DJ mixer, so to record the set straight onto laptop (like a connector wire you could pick up from Maplins or something)? Preferably so that the speakers work as usual also. Is that possible?

I've got one, and it's excellent but of kit for a budget price.
Start selling them and then your find trouble.
Yep thats what i did and its works perfectly! :thumb:
I would say state the obvious, but... Thanks for the suggestions though everyone.
When I get it sorted, anyone want a freeform/classic gabber set uploading?
You got somewhere to host it or do you need somewhere?
Gabber eh? Yeah why not, i'd be interested
Hmm this is getting me back in the mood to record some mixes now. Today i will!
And Felix yeah if you could sort out a place to host it that'd be spot on cheers mate!
Most Laptops have a Mic in socket and line out and that's it
I think a line in would give better sound then mic in
But I have a Trust USB sound card as below and the sound quality is actually excellent.

One of the things you don't get with USB Audio is all those pop's and electrical noises you sometimes pick off the PC it'self.
