Soup

Having a few friends round tomorrow night. Fireworks and stuff.

Typical fare, sausages, baked spuds, garlic bread but i'm gonna have a go at soup (which i'm notoriously crap at)

1. Because ive got everything for it in the house and

2. I forgot to buy some yesterday :)

It's potato and leek but my question is, should i liquidise it so it's a smooth soup pumpkin/butternut squash or leave it chunky ? The recipe doesn't sya either way.

    I vote liquidise because I always find that more warming than watery-with-chunks. But that's just me, and I don't like watery-with-chunks soup.

    Liquidising soup? That sounds like something you would serve to somebody with their jaw wired shut. Doesn't sound good at all. Especially with potatoes!

    Simple. Make it smooth.

    not everybody likes lumps (I prefer it) but more liek it smooth.

    Thanks peeps. Think i'll take a spoon or two out before i liquidise it then put it back in.
