What is the greatest Christmas song ever?
John Lennon, Happy Xmas (War Is Over), Fairytale Of New York, The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, Bruce Springsteen, Do They Know Its Christmas, Band Aid or something else?

I agree.
If I was to chose one though, it would be Band Aid II.
Is that the song with line "there'll be no snow in Africa this christmas"?
It'd be a fucking shock if there was wouldn't it?
But Santa Baby is the *best*!
Grandma got run over by a reindeer
i just ordered a new christmas cd :hyper:
Tuuuune =]
BLATANT PLUG ALERT
Best Christmas song? This --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfs2Hbkouro
A couple of mates of mine thought they could write a better Christmas song, plus I got to cameo.
Honourable mention for Fairytale of New York & Stop the Cavalry.
ETA: fuck it, I just have. £10.99 for a 5CD boxed set. That's a lot of Xmas right there.
If I had to choose one song that would immediately remind me of christmas, it would have to be Slade's 'Merry Christmas Everybody'.
Just don't get me started on band aid 20, that one with the guy who wears the big masks of celebrities or any of cliff Richard's new stuff. Rubbish!
It's a song everyone knows the lyrics to!
Aye, it's such a tune!!
Except when you take some of the lyrics literally. Then it's incredibly gross!
I honestly don't think I've ever met anyone who has considered the song literally.
Maybe not, but now I've mentioned it, you'll never think of it in the same way again;) .
"I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying I love you
I meant it"
No wonder she left him
