opiates - the itchies!!

i've previously experimented with oxycontin and now i occasionally shoot up some heroin with my man and a couple of his experienced mates
one thing that seems to ruin the experience is feeling so incredibly itchy!!! i've got a couple of scabs on my body from scratching and scratching in the same place, obviously i couldn't feel the pain at the time but the scabs are pretty ugly!
i've tried taking anti-histamines while on heroin but it does shit all.. does anyone have any suggestions to relieve the itchiness? (other than "don't do opiates")
