I wont go into details, but I need to know how to get blood out of a mattress...

Any ideas? :s

    I'll give the bi-carb a go, worth a shot.

    I just want something that'll get it out quickly so I don't have to explain things to my mum :x

    It works much better if it's fresh blood, but a little hydrogen peroxide on a clean cloth works well. Just keep dabbing the stain until it's gone.

    For dried in blood, you're gonna have problems. Bleach is good but it creates it's own stain.

    Do not use water! Water sets the stain by causing the red blood cells to rupture. If you put salt water on the stain you will be able to remove far more of the stain. Clean normally, but only use salt water.

    ok, so no water... hydrogen peroxide.. bleach... bi-carb... jiggy-with-it... I think I'll be fine, thanks everyone ;D

    Negative, something quite less graphic.

    Needless to say, a combination of Bi-carb, bleach+water, dry cleaning fluids and carpet cleaner eventually got rid of it =)
