Chicago is actually a very clean city. Of all the city's I have visited in the US and abroad, though not many, it is by far the cleanest. Same is said for people visiting. You will rarely find trash, even the nasty public transport is supposidly clean. Several public busses are very clean burning and more are being put out. No matter what you think of the family, Mayor R Daley has done a helluva lot to make Chicago as clean and sanitary as it is. I can't say the same for any other city I have been in.
As for the dye in the river, it is not said what they actually use but it is epa monitored and safe for the fish and other water life.
All those pics are NZ Top 2 are Wellington, (my hometown) which is gorgeous at night.
and the bottom pic, that's lake Matheson

It's fucking gorgeous
Shit I wanna go there
And Wellington is gorgeous. Oriental Bay at night much?
Agreed, I love Austria and was coming here to say just what you said. Out of the beautiful places I've been it's the one I'd most like to live in I've only got a couple of random pics on this computer, they don't do Austria justice but I wanted to join in on the love!
Haven't sorted out my snaps of our recent holiday on the Isle of Skye, but that is some place. Really humbling mountains and breathtaking views along the little winding roads.

Strangest thing, I was just looking at that picture thinking how god-awful it looks, when at the very same moment I glanced up at the TV and that exact building is on my screen, on BBC 1's The One Show! They were doing a short segment on the show about ugly buildings in people's towns and someone had sent in a photo of that car park. Very strange coincidence. :nervous:
a few more shots I made in AUT.
1. a shot out of my window.
2. skiing hols with friends in Wörgl/Tirol.
3. Same as #2. The prolly most covetable girl, a friend of mine, in focus.
4. Spa-Marathon with a friend. Längenfeld/Tirol. The back of the guy who travelled with me in focus.
5. Our weekend garden in lower austria. That's truly Eden for stressed city people.
Here's Schloss Neuschwanstein in Bavaria, Germany. I didn't take this photo but I have been there.
lol jus kiddin its a hole .. some of those places look amazin tho would love to visit some of em
Mot far from me. Best fancy dress parties ever are held at Stourhead. Next one is on the 26th of July. Check out attactchments for pics.
Another is the Lake District. Probably the most beautiful of all English Landscapes.
Nothing else I've ever seen with my own eye can compete with the Grand Canyon though. No picture can ever do it justice.
I've also been lucky enough to various islands in the Caribbean, of which St Lucia is without a doubt the most impressive. Beatiful reefs, white sands, a walk in active volcano, the Pitons and lush tropical forest.
Skive, you're right about the lakes. The picture you have is of a hill called Catbells, it's a great walk:
I love the North Lakes:
The Salzkammergut in Austria is beautiful for similar reasons:
and I loved Salzburg generally when I was on honeymoon there:
