I want to go to uni sept '09 to study accounting and finance.
i'm applying to do an access course and the college near me offers "access to HE diploma" which covers maths and IT and a specialist subject either human physiology and health or sociology. and then on another day you cover core subjects and communications along with either psychology or humanities.
The college offer other access courses like "access to teaching" or "access to science" etc but none directly related to accounting.
Since this seems like a broad diploma as it seems to cover everything do you think this would be ok to accept me onto the BA accounting and finance course?
When i emailed the uni they said if i completed an access course with a good pass they'd accept me but didn't specify the type of access course
I've already got 4 As levels all with good grades but had a rough time in my life during my second year of college which is why i don't have the full A levels.
Just really wanna get things sorted so i can go to uni but don't want to sign up and pay for a course if its not the right one.
Advice please

On your college's website, does it say the types of degrees you can do if you did this access course?
You really dont need a degree to get into accoutning, in four years you could be part-qualified easily.
Just wanted to make sure i didn't start a course that wouldn't get me onto the degree i want to do
