    Have you heard any of their Kid A or Amnesiac stuff?

    Kid A is amazing, but if your more into metal and stuff you probably won't think so.

    I like bands that push the boundaries of normal sound. Instead of just playing the same old chords make noises that interest people. My favourite album of all time (well since I was of an age to appriciate music) has to be "OK Computer".

    In your sad machines you'll forever stay, desperate and displeased, with whoever you are.

    i never thought i liked radiohead. but i know i like creep and karma police... and in the past few months ive heard high and dry, fake plastic trees, just... and i alreayd had street spirit on a cd. and so i like the bends, basically. ive been pestering my friend to lend it to me, he says he has 2 copies and i can in fact have one, but hes sooo unreliable. grrr. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/mad.gif"&gt;

    I've never heard anything by Nada Surf, YoLa Tengo, Sebadoh, Loreena McKennitt or Hood.

    I don't like Dinosaur Jr, Sonic youth, Savage Garden, Samantha Mumba, Usher or Joe.

    I like Arab Strap, Mogwai, Madonna and Moby.

    And I love Radiohead.

    Personally i don't like Radiohead, amybe it's an acquired taste, i dunno.

    I just heard 'em on totp, that's top of the pops to our international friends <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">.

    I think their stuff should come with a £10 gift token to use at your local branch of The Samaritans .. very depressing and suicidal i think !! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif"&gt; lol

    yeah some of it is quite depressing... as my dear friend lucy puts it "we're all going to die music" (narrow minded cow.. ah well, ive left sch now <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">) but "fake plastic trees" and "just" i dont think are that depressing. i mean, everyone thinks travis are depressing, they have a song called "happy" ffs lol.. and "sing" isnt that depressing. just coz they dont have a funky funky beat (dont stop moving to the...) or are all bouncy or happy, doesnt mean the songs are depressing in themselves. personally a song that i hated but that people thought was a happy song would put me in a worse mood than a song i loved that other people said was depressing. it can be uplifting to hear one of your fave songs.

    but i dont much like radiohead's new single <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"&gt;

    I think pop music is depressing and allot of people that like pop music think its happy shit. Heavy music makes me happy and I'm sure that makes teenie boppers feel depressed. Its whatever taste in music you have. Lets face it... I have the best taste in music on this site! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    Well everyone has different tastes and that's why there's so many genres of music nowadays.

    I used to love hardcore rave music, and i still like it but not to such a degree as i did before. I'v alaways loved the loud music, and music that's pours energy out .. like dance music and, preferably, metal.

    Even within Metal there's different sub-genres (??) like death metal, black metal, speed metal .... but i prefer the more established bands LIKE Iron Maiden who are just phenomenal LIVE, and Metallica .. but i do like newer bands like Papa Roach, and even Ash !! ( see Emma, i wasn't lying ) <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"&gt;

    Well this brings the posts upto 40 !! lol

    mark i dont think you've got the best taste in music, or that anyone can really say that at all, as everyone thinks their taste is the best. some of "your" music caused me almost physical pain when you were listening/watching it on the music channels in my house at easter.

    i happen to think that i have the best taste in music lol, funnily enough. turtle's isnt bad either <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"&gt; or high angel's for that matter. zero's is kinda cool in places too.

    but thats just because they like similar music to me. not all the music you like is as bad as i generally make it out to be mark, but i would prefer geri halliwell to a lot of the stuff you listen to, which is really saying something!!! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/eek.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/eek.gif"&gt;

    Good God Emma .... surely you can't stoop that low to like Geri ' the lights are on but nobody's home' Halliwell !! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    If your standards get any lower you'll be typing, and singing along to, S-Club 7's songs *remembers* oh shit you have that's right <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/tongue.gif"&gt; <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/rolleyes.gif"&gt; hehehe

    cheeky... i believe yo la tengo is from where i live, but i may be wrong. and radiohead is of course from oxford (which is home).

    at the drive in is pretty good but i think they're super overrated.

    i'm an indie/emo/punk (being REAL D.I.Y. kinda punk, not blink182 pseudo-punk)/metal/hardcore/noise/crust/thrash/folk kinda gal.

    my favorite bands/singers at the moment being:
    portrait, the anniversary, mary timmony, phil ochs, pete seeger, lightningbolt, dropdead, festival of dead deer, crimson curse, the locust, black dice, catharsis, le tigre, the faint, magnetic fields, civil disobedience, submission hold, anti product, melt banana, antischism, um... and a whole bunch more.

    i bet that list was jibberish to most (all?)of you...
