Who'd be a vicar?

Seems the clergy in England and Wales are after a pay rise. They currently get an average £16,400 salary.
Now apart from having to talk about God all the time, and say prayers, this seems like another reason NOT to be a vicar.
I'd put vicaring alongside streetcleaning, call centering and cleaning out portaloos at festivals as jobs I Most Certainly Wouldn't Want To Do.
Any worse ones?

Yeah, Berkshire is a snobby place but I aint down with that. Well Ali-G is from Berks and he aint a snob - Aiii!
Especially not for that amount of money.
looks like you're devoting your life to this site!!!!!
You would be lucky to get a house for that much, if u did it would be a dump in need of major repair in a shite area.
The average price for a 2 bedroom house is around £130,000 and it wouldn't be anything special.
Its because Thames Valley is the UK's equivalent of Silicon Valley. There are loads of well paid IT jobs here and to be honest, that's why we moved here.
My hubby and I both being web developers get paid way more money here and have bigger opportunities than back home in the East Midlands.
So if you want to go into IT especially web development, the South East is the place to be. And because London is commutable u will have even more opportunites.
Thanks for the info <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
Life is like a beautiful melody, only the lyrics are messed up
