What does everyone think about smokin' and drivin? most of my friends are OK with it, but I know some people who paralell it with drinking and driving.
The thing is, weed doesnt make me lose driving skills really in the sameway alky would, it does impair me in some ways tho...
last weekend I smoked like 15 bowls with 2 friends and then drove to Toronto..missed my exit 3 times heh

'Tis true! I wouldn't condone it, but it sure ain't as bad as drink driving. But still, I'd always play it safe.... but then again, I am Mr Paranoia when it comes to cars.
*Cue flashbacks*
Mind you, the police certainly turn a blind eye. I've been caught smoking weed in my car (when I still lived at home - nowehere else to go....) so many times, and they just give you a small warning. They've never even mentioned the fact that I'm under the influence of drugs and I'm clearly planning to drive home. Nice.
(Image of crazed desperate woman in battered VW Polo speeding along deserted Scottish road chasing small lump of hashish)
I'd just finished work one night at 11.30pm and was gagging for a joint, so I was travelling a bit too fast on a wet road with big bends.
Ended up skidding round a corner, clearing a low stone wall in between a telegraph pole and a road sign (just), rolling down a hill and ending up in a field. I sat there for a while wondering whether to turn the windscreen wipers off cos the windscreen was about 6 feet in front of me. Then I pondered the fact that the wing mirrors were bent inside the car.
Then I wondered whether it was worth dragging my car back onto the road without windows and a contorted bonnet to drive to my dealer.
Then I REALLY need a joint.
People who take a light-hearted attitude to this never cease to amaze me, I mean... its not even your driving thats the worry, what if that child or other vehicle shoots out in front of you and you are just a split second slower to react? No thanks... I walk or take a taxi. I'm happy to decide when to take risks with my own life, but I don't feel I have the right to take risks with the lives of others.
NEVER AGAIN!
I'll just walk!

Don't do it!
Thats as maybe, but smoking weed and driving is still stupid and irresponsible.
i have been driveing for ten years and i know from expereance that it impares reaction times gudgement and i surgest only in emerancys and with at least 3 year experance driveing. and limit to one like u would with beer.
and after reading the messege from a guy that lost his mate to someone druged and driveing im not doing it again
personaly i couldnt live with my selfishness!
All of youz who think DRIVING whilst smashed nead to wake up......
you've obviously been smoking too much of the stuff, and it has clouded your common sense.....
It is not good or clever, to smoke weed OR be smashed whilst driving.........
It is not good or clever to be on any kind of drug whilst driving....
it is not good or clever to be drunk OR drinknig whilst driving.......
Come on its common sense! stop being so fucking selfish, and think about what dammage you could do to other people......
If someone ever knocked down/killed someone i loved, and i found out they where under the influnce of Alcohol/Any Kind Of Drug, i would hunt them down and give them a right old pasting.......
NOW FUCKING WAKE UP!
Tossers!

Actually I think i was a safer driver when stoned because I was being cautious (partly because i didn't want to get pulled for speeding)... When not stoned I didn't care, so would have been more likly to cause an accident through overtaking, tailgating etc etc.
I stopped when I realised that it is other people's lives at risk as well as myself, and I really couldn't see myself going about my daily business after killing some-one so stupidly...
Added to that loosing my license would loose me my job...
the benifit isn't nearly worth the risks (think if you get pulled over, blood tested, arrested)...
Wow! thats, like, 3 good reasons not to.
Having said that I'm still happy to get into a car with some mates (but not all) after a session and light another one as we're travelling. Does that make me a hypocrite?
