Don't fret too much, it may well just be a zit again. Do you shave/wax or anything, because another cause could be an ingrown hair. Having matching ones could be linked to friction and things rubbing against each other.

Good on you for getting it checked out though.:thumb:

I'm just really crying. I've been such so stupid in the past and they'll just think I'm a whore. I have shaved in the past and I shaved recently and that's how I noticed it. I'm going to a GUM clinic at a hospital and I can just imagine then being horrible and calling me stupid and me crying.

You've probably just got an ingrown hair. I totally freaked out when I got a lump exactly where you described ages back when I shaved - I went to a GUM clinic and had two nurses confirm that it wasn't anything I had imagined to be and that it was an ingrown hair.

Better to be safe than sorry, get yourself to a GUM clinic and TELL your boyfriend in the meantime.

Sorry to pry, here but when you say you've been a 'whore' did you sleep with several people without any protection?

Has your boyfriend slept with anyone other than you without protection?

ETA - They will NOT call you anything, they have been dealing with worse cases than yours and plus, who even knows if it's anything terrible. You JUST don't know.

    that happened to me too!

Aw Rachel I know its SO scary when you start thinking about your sexual history, if you think about it too much it'll drive you crazy. Just go to the GUM clinic and they're really nice, honestly. They wont judge you at all, its not like you've slept with 60 people without using contraception is it? The sooner you go the sooner you can stop worrying about it.

ETA they just looked at it when i went...i had an STD test a year or so later just because me and my friend decided to have a checkup. and it was all clear anyway.

Can I ask if you had to have any tests or if they just looked at it?

I'm going to tell my boyfriend asap but the way I am feeling right now I don't want to freak him out.

In the past on two occassions the man has just 'stuck it in' and used the whole 'If I withdraw before then it's fine' and because of being a fool I went along with it.

I havent asked my boyfriend but I know he had a long term girlfriend and we're talking 5 years and doesn't take having sex with someone lightly so I dont know. It has been such a shit day

They looked at it, and a specialist came through and saw that I had a bit of stubble and kind of examined it and confirmed that it was nothing more than an ingrown hair.

That was about 3 years ago and I've had nothing show up since.

I think genital warts - which I thought it was that I had - take about up to 6 months from the last time you slept with someone to show up if I remember rightly.

This website is really really good for this information -

    http://www.plannedparenthood.org/sexual-health/std/genital-warts.htm

If you don't want to tell him, then bring someone along. I was freaking out so much that I told my Mam, and I never let her into my sex life WHATSOEVER. But I really needed someone to be there with me.

ETA - I'm not saying you may or may not have warts, but the way my mind was freaking out I was sure that's what I had.

that is what i was worried about, but it doesnt look like cauliflower or whatever it said and its a hard lump inside. im really sorry to be graphic. it is so small but just feels strange. it doesn't hurt but i know it is there. it sounds silly but i am more scared that i have given it to my bf then if i have anything. my friend is taking me there tomorrow which is really nice of her so im less likely to be a blubbering wreck i think.

You're not being graphic, man. It's not as if you have really any other outlet I guess, but it doesn't sound at all what you're making it out to be. But I can totally appreciate this nauseating fear you've got. I went through it too, but it probably is just a really small ingrown hair. You're not the first and you won't be the last to freak out about one of these if you've not seen them before trust me.

    But good luck for tomorrow.

Don't focus of the negativity of everything until you've had it explained to you. You'll just knacker yourself mentally going over 'ifs' and 'whens' and the like. Get some kip and deal with it tomorrow.

    xxx.

To me it does sound harmless, but it would be worth still getting it checked out.
