Anyone got any recommendations? I've got bleached blonde hair (not very blonde, but my natural colour is almost black, so it's quite bleached, if that makes sense...) and i use my GHD's on it every couple of days. I do get it trimmed regularly cos i have to get my roots done often and i have it done at the same time, but recently i've been noticing that my hair is a bit knackered - it keeps on breaking at the ends and i'm getting a lot of split ends.
I would not use my straighteners as often, but i end up with an attractive 70's porn-star style bouffant if i don't, so it's kind of necessary.
Help?

The green kerastase rebuilds hair because it contains proteins. I'm using Redken Soft at the moment which is very similar.
My hairdresser keeps trying to get me to buy the Paul Mitchell one, says it is great (so does my sister) so I guess if I was going to try another I would try that one?
I have the tresemme one although I don't straighten my hair very often so I've no idea if it works well.
GHD one just leaves your hair feeling... weird after it. TRESemme one makes it super shiny and soft.
EDIT: Yes, I realise how gay this post sounded.
I might try the tresemme one, have you noticed less split ends since using it?
In terms of looking after your hair...Lipsy's right the kerastase and redken stuff is well worth it if you straighten your hair all the time. Also try to find a leave in conditioner and deep condition your hair once a week. And if you can manage it go for a deep conditioning treatment at your hair dressers once a month, they always used to suggest it after i got my hair dyed.
 I don't like their shampoo as it's quite heavy on my hair, but the heat defence spray is the dog's.
The one i use the most is the Paul Mitchell heat seal one, i got a big 500ml bottle off the internet for about £12

Also Tigi do a nice one in their catwalk range, that smells nice and is ment for coloured hair

They're my favourites anyway.
You're right about the deep condition, i should do it... but there are always things i'd rather be doing than faffing about in the bathroom.
I think i'll go and have a hunt for some shampoo and conditioner at the weekend. The other problem is that i can't use shampoo which has sodium laureth sulfate in it - it gives me mouth ulcers, so i'm quite limited in what i can buy.
They are about £5 but Boots does 3 for 2 offers on them quite a lot so 3 pots for a tenner isn't to bad. The two i quite like are called poker straight and soflee soflee or some nonesense similar to that
how weird, i just came into this forum to make a post about lee stafford stuff...
i bought the shampoo and conditioner and the dry shampoo thingy yesterday cus it was on 3 for 2 and i v just used the shampoo and conditioner and it was horrible! well disappointed
I love the dry shampoo i think it's such a great idea!
I've never used the normal lee stafford shampoo & conditioner, just the treatment stuff, deffinatlet won't be now!
For my normal everyday shampoo & conditioner i use bedhead dumb blonde and control freak shampoo and fudge wet head conditioner. They smell SO GOOD. :thumb:
As for heat defence spray, I use Toni and Guy's Iron It Defence Spray. I got a mini bottle from work for Christmas and it's great, my hairs been in better condition ever since (I used AVON before) and it's lasting ages, still using my little can, and I use it every time I blowdry or straighten my hair.
Thanks ladies (and gents )!
