I get lonely on a night, not missing sex just someone cuddling me

    When you're sat on your own with nobody to talk to. You look through your phonebook, on your MSN list, but you think of good reasons not to talk to everyone.

    - Your best mate is out with his girlfriend
    - Your other mates are away at uni socialising
    - Your mum, well it's your mum, you can't talk to her every night
    - Your brother is alright, but you run out of conversation after a while

    Or maybe that's just me :chin: except for my girlfriend, I only see / talk to people occasionally now, cos I'm off away in York. I made some good friends the past few weeks though, but now I'm going back to Leicester :lol:. If I didn't have my girlfriend to talk to I'd be very lonely indeed.

    Yep!! When I'm single (which is most of the time, to be honest, interrupted by the occasional 'special guest star' who comes in to break up the singleness sometimes!!:D) I miss just being touched too....again, not in a sexual way...the thing I miss the most is having someone to hug...I sometimes hug my friends, but that's not the same....:(

    Oh - and I nearly always have a fitful night's sleep when I'm on my own...and my bed feels too big....but if my bed's got someone else in it, I'll sleep right through and have a brilliant night's sleep...guaranteed!!!

    being the only single person when you and your mates go out and bring their bf's/husbands/fiance's

    *you forget how kisses feels!
    *You forget what its like to be happy with someone and for them to be happy back!
    *You miss not having someone to txt about how crap your day was.
    *You don't know who be calling/txting, whereas in relationship your sure/hope it'll be your partner.
    *You have to find something to think about/do to take your mind of the person you wanna be with :yeees:

    Oh - booo!! That is a bit rubbish!! :( But I'm a great believer in things all being for a reason....in hindsight, it'll all make sense!!! Just need time, etc...:thumb:

    Haha, I dunno but it's really helped. I am so annoyed at my best friend right now and it's something I NEVER thought I'd be annoyed at. :(

    Simple: She added a smilie. The text for it (impissed) has to be in non-capitals.

    Since I replied anyway: I don't really know what the good or bad things are about being simple, since I don't know how it is to not be single.

    Theres loads of things i would miss.

    I like having someone to take care of and to take care of me...whenever that need might be. Or just to do nice things/gestures for

    I like having someone that i can trust to talk to whenever i need to

    Its nice to be able to just text/call him/talk to him about random crap whenever i like, and vice verser.

    Its probably sad, but i like having somebody to kiss goodbye if im going somewhere.

    Most of all though, if i was single i would miss cuddles. And kisses.

    I absolutely hate sleeping alone. It takes me so much longer to fall asleep and i get cold, its just not snug :( . Its nice to wake up to turn over in the night and see him there and have a sleepy cuddle, or kiss.

    I think ive got soppier as ive aged!

    Lack of affection. I dont get hugs very often when I'm single.
    I can cope (just) with no sex, but no hugs sucks.

    The only boy that has made me fall asleep quicker than I would on my own was my ex who I was with for 3 years.

    If anyone is in my bed, or in my room, it takes me so much longer to get to sleep.
