Herrings in sour cream

Anyone know where I can get these from? My girlfriend has been talking about craving them for weeks (she's not pregnant, she's Polish!) and I can't find anywhere in C. London that sells them. Help!

Polish name: Sledzie w Smietanie
Serves 4
Ingredients
8 Salted Herring Fillets
1 large Onion, chopped
1 Garlic Clove, crushed
1 teasp Lemon Juice
4 hard-boiled Eggs, chopped
280ml/8fl.oz. Sour Cream
Salt and Pepper
2 tbsp Freshly chopped Dill
Instructions
1. Wash the herring fillets under cold running water, dry on kitchen paper then cut into small cubes.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix together the herring, onion, eggs, lemon juice, sour cream, garlic, salt and pepper.
3. To serve - sprinkle with the dill and serve with rye bread.

how do you pronounce "w" in polish? (wuh, vuh, vee...? :chin: )
In that context it's just like a really short 'vvv' sound, almost like it's the first letter of the next word.
Anyhoo, I'm sure my mum just gets sledzie ready prepared in a jar from Tesco. Maybe from the world foods aisle? Not sure. Then again, our local Tesco is a bit like a trip to Warsaw, such is the density of Polski peeps in the area.
