What can I say?
Wii, PS3, DirectX10, not to mention the games:
- Supreme Commander
- ArmA
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
- Command and Conquer 3
- Grand theft auto 4
- Spore
Incredible!
What was the best gaming 'thing' of last year? In comparison it was so dull! I dont think I got any games last year, never even bothered playing the demo of bf2142 because bf2 was still bugged to hell.
Just a rant really, but when you think about it, gosh. The new graphics cards coming out this year, at least the ATI/AMD Radeon x2800, will have TWICE as much power as the x19xx series. That's quite incredible imo.
2008 certainly seems to be the year of the geek
Intel announced they have a working 80 core processor that will be ready for production in as little as 5 years. The average enthusiast monitor is going from 19" to 22" now, everything is just moving on!
It's exciting, no?

soon how will we know whats real and what's virtual??
theres a lot of research going into this at the moment. the "uncanny valley" has yet to be crossed and can also be applied to things like robotics. if something looks really human like, it becomes creepy before it becomes indistinguishable from the real thing. (this forms part of my course at uni, it's rather interesting

Dunno, they do seem a bit too accurate. They are as accurate with an assualt rifle as a sniper rifle.
TBF, it's *really* a multiplayer game with SP added on as an extra
Which is all purchased and paid for but I dont get for a month until I see my brother again. :grump:
