I'm about to head to the shops soon, I'm trying to get some ideas of goodies I can add to my porridge (millet porridge, I'm not a fan of the bigger oats, I like mine creamy ) can anyone help?

I like the jumbo oats, but regardless of that my usual way of eating it is with acacia/orangeblossom honey, unsweetened soya milk, ground up flaxseeds and sunflower seeds too.
I also love it with grated apple, cinnamon and nutmeg
And sugar, lots of, to give it some taste. I have a bit of a sweet tooth .
Speaking of porridge, I may go make some now...perhaps it will make me feel better ;o.
Mmm, going to try that
I do sometimes have a little jam with it with some sliced apple, but I try to steer clear of too much sugar in the mornings, otherwise I'll slump by 11am!
just sugar for me. tried it with jam but didn't like it.
i would've thought a shops own brand was more a cheaper version? personally i don't like shops own versions, prefer quakers or scotts. :thumb:
Thats what I want to know!
It might be to do with the way they say it. However, I'm not too sure. Will talk to a Scottish friend of mine and will find out for you if I can.
I just buy the cheapest - Tesco own brand, Co-op own brand, whatever. Sometimes I use half milk and half water to make it, depending on how much milk I have!
I dont know if theyll be any more likely to know than anyone else.
I cant think of any scottish accent that pronounces it porage
Didn't do what it was meant to do though, made me feel worse if anything .
I used to love the golden syrup flavour oats, but I tend to steer clear of all the sugar nowadays
:yuck: you don't add any liquid to it?
