Shhh, it's a secret!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Sooo.. Does anybody have a secret desire for their life? Like an alternative career they'd love, even though it isn't what they're pursuing? A place they'd like to visit for any wierd reason? Anything they wouldn't normally admit, or that people would never suspect of them?

One secret desire of mine would be to be a DJ, either on the radio or in a club. If I were on the radio, I'd DJ anything alternative... Essentially left wing political music, interview people and run everything independently. In a club, I'd probably do punk and rock DJing, or rockabilly.

Anyone else?

I'd love to be an actor. Used to love drama in school. Can just imagine myself really enjoying it.

    But hey, I took Law.

If I won loads of money then I would buy a shop. Not just a corner shop but one that sells something I *really* like, like flowers or yarn

However, I have currently achieved everything I wanted to achieve by the age of 25. And more :)

I would secretly like to never have to work and just be a housewife/mum.

Not really possible or accepted by socioty anymore. Plus I don't even have a boyfriend and not 100% sure I can have kids.

Shyboy - I'd love to be a farmer, too. I'm still positive I'll be running my own little organic farm with a B&B attached and pony trekking thirty years down the line. We'll see...

I actively pursued my 'secret' dream this year when the chance came up and have now ditched my BSc in Business for studying Air Traffic Controling. :) Only one person was able to go "I vaguely remember you mentioning it!" where as most asked "you want to do WHAT?" That includes close family. :D

I've also wanted to become a writer, it's not that secret though.

briggi: If you need some tour guides for the pony trekking in thirty years give me a hollar! ;) My most enjoyed job ever, that was.

Think you misinterpreted my meaning of 'just'... I meant as in 'only' ie... without a paid job. :)

Namaste... I'm stuck indoors most of the time anyways. I don't actually see why I'd be stuck indoors anyway... Wouldn't be house-bound. Least not all the time.

I guess I'd like to be a philosopher... Like those in the ancient times.
Sitting in a corner, saying wise (and possibly) funny things, trying to show a different way of life, or explaining stuff.
That wouldn't pay much though, and I can't live without computers. :grump:
