erm, ok, so i know a lot of people on here do/have cut(inc. myself), and so i was just kinda wondering if i was the only one out there who burns as well? (with a lighter usually). i personally think that burning is more effective (if you dont feel to stable i wouldnt recommend u read this), because it hurts a lot more but usually scars/marks a lot less. except one i did earlier has gone literally white and looks kinda obvious.
most people i know only think of cutting when they think of self harm, which makes me wonder a bit. i sometimes do other stupid stuff like headbutting things and punching things til it looks well bruised. anyone else? ive never really heard of anyone else who burns, so is there anyone out there? and if there is, do u find that they are an absolute bastard to take care of? unlike cuts which is fairly easy, burns have to be the fuckin hardest thing to look after. anyone got any useful tips on that as well?
and while im here (not that its particularly related to it), but last week i pierced my ears myself (2 lobes and one cartilage), and they are bleeding, oozing, and hurting liek hell still. is this normal?i took out one of the studs in my lobe and put a hoop in, thinking that it would help it heal better, but i reckon its made it worse. what does anyone normally do?
cheers for listening, probaly sounded complete bollox to most of you tho.

hey tourette do u have any messengers? like hotmail, aol, or yahoo? itd be cool to talk 2 u. what part of the west midlands r u from?
As for your ears, it sounds like they're infected. I'd clean your studs really well, and put them back in, also put antiseptic on them and on your ears several times a day.
I hope you feel better!

I know a few burners.
If you follow the link in my signature, there is a thread at the top of the forum page about how to look after your injuries. I'm pretty sure there is a first aid section on burning, as well as other things.
I'm a headbutter, too.
Please look after your ears (that doesn't sound good, antiseptic is a good plan) and your burns.

Hey charley, I self harm in all the ways u have described and also used to use chemical and stuff to burn myself. Self-harm can be anything, if its harmfull and u do it yourself its self harm <IMG alt="image" alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">
I wish u wernt doing this to yourself but I know what its like as Im in the same position. At least if u r doing it please do it in the safest way by sleaning the wound and not using dirty blades etc etc, its so important.
