Sleep positions

It occurred to me this morning that I rarely sleep on my back bacause it is uncomfortable.
I normally sleep in a foetal position, or on my front with my head to the side. I was just wondering what effect not sleeping on my back, or indeed in the positions I do sleep, would have on my back in later life.
Should I train myself to sleep in a certain position? I would hate to have back trouble in later life.
What do you think/ know?

Jesus isn't that a pigs mess of a sentance....
Sleep whichever way leaves you feeling refreshed!
I dont think that you get backproblems, by sleeping not on the back. If so, then a lot of people should be really worried.
WOW! That is almost freaky! I never noticed it before! Picture a man travelling beyond sight and sound....
As for everyone else, I didn't realise so may people couldn't sleep on their backs. Comforting to know that if I do get back trouble in later life I wont be alone! <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
You probably don't realise this, but people move around all the time in their sleep, so try not to worry too much.
