What foods bring back memories for you?

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I was just wondering this as today I went into a newsagents and was merrily greeted by old school sweets and penny sweets that I havent had for years.
Reminded me of the days at school when my mum would give me and my bro and sister 15p each to spend on sweets, and how far we could stretch it..
I came out the shop with £2 worth of milk bottles, cola bottles, strawberries, flying saucers, liquorice whips and anything with sherbert on it..

What foods remind you of stuff?

Them cheese puff things that I think are called 'Crunchie Puffs'. They're a bit like Wotsits but in smaller childsize bags. We used to get them at Nursery during breaktime. Those were the days, eh?

Granted they lost their animal shape, I don't care. My parents used to buy them for me all the time, and me only. I wouldn't share.

I think I"ll go buy some later today

Really? I know Cadburys have their own turkish delight bar, but I'm pretty sure the Fry's version is still out there.

ETA: Mini milks and hubba bubba also bring back lots of memories!

Yeah Fry's do still make Turkish Delight, just Cadbury's brought their own chocolate bar version out aswell.

Feckin' love Turkish Delight, Fry's, Cadbury's, it's all good.....
But the well old skool Turkish delight without chocolate in like the Turkish style boxes with loads of icing sugar on are insane in the membrane!
