If you understand what they are rapping it's hilarity pure, promise.

Each language has it's very own style, because different words mean different things and different words (and their meaning) rhyme with other words that wouldn't rhyme in another language.

I downloaded "The Promise" by Taskforce btw. and I'm loving it.

In case you are not always the lyrics-man I advice you to listen to a few Aggro Berlin stuff. Aggro is a style of german wannabe gangster rapper, but if you don't understand what they are saying it's probably good, because they usually have wicked good beats and excellent flow.

If you need other good recommendations pm me.

Eric Bogle - And the Band Played Waltzing Matilda

I honestly cannot listen to Eric Bogle singing that without crying. It's a fantastic song, most of Eric Bogle's stuff is brilliant.

Tom McRae's Border Song always has me in tears too, its a wonderful song, so simple and so beautiful. And I defy anyone to listen to Ne Me Quitte Pas by Jacques Brel without feeling utterly depressed.

    Other songs:
Radiohead - Exit Music (For a Film)
    Cranberries - Linger
Belle and Sebastian - The Chalet Lines
    Lou Reed - Perfect Day

He's writing it out of anger but I find it sad because we know that the reason he wrote it was because he was hurt so badly and that he loves her deep down.

well, it's a track of his darker time. The new stuff he makes is comic rap.

Listen into the Marshal Matters LP if you need some 'dark' stuff. Kim is one of the lighter meals on that album.

My favourite Eminem album, it's one of my favourite albums in the ten favourite albums thread too. :D

Not all of his new stuff is comic rap, When I'm Gone isn't comic and Encore features some really serious songs, although alot of his newer stuff is comic.

Marshall Mathers LP is the second, the Slim Shady LP is the first and that's a good album too. Role Model is a tune, so is My Fault :thumb:

yeah, I was generalizing. I don't know all THAT much of his new work.

His first album Slim Shady LP (as you said) is the shiz too. Some of the videoclips are hilarious.

    @johnnyboy:
It's a bit offtopic, but I discovered naruto too recently.
I watched 152 episodes in about a week (fulltime uni :P)
