anybody think the PS3 is kinda ugly?

It looks kinda chunky to me. Price aint too good neither.
I'd also like to hear others plans about how they are gonna get one.

    I won't be getting one until the price drops and I have an HD TV.

    I have a 360, I've pre-ordered a Wii but at this point I have very little interest in the PS3.

    It'll be the most popular and will nodoubt have the best performance...and the main thing...the best support from games companies. So I can gaurentee gamers outside of the PC world will get one.

    For Sony's sake, the PS3 has to do very well. As in obliterate the competition the way the PS2 did.

    Sony is a company in turmoil and it'll be interesting to see if they 'Playstation' brand can save their hardware division.

    I'm finding it really hard to predict this generation. Microsoft have done incredibly well with getting the decent games out there, Nintendo are doing there own thing but....it's the playstation. Can you really bet against that?

    Maybe with the high price tag......hmmmm.

    The high price tag isn't usually an issue, since they can only manufacture so many, and the early adopters will always pay whatever they're charging. In fact, I can't think of a console which hasn't sold out the first batch. More of a problem is them missing another Christmas. But Sony are the best in the world at marketing their products, so I wouldn't bet against them. Nintendo on the other hand have done a brilliant job creating new markets with women and older gamers, so I would expect the Wii to be far more successful than the Gamecube. And as for Xbox, you've got to consider how well it's gonna do in Japan, because any non-Japanese product has vanished without a trace, and that would already put them a third behind their competitors.

    A lot will ride on how quickly Sony drop the price and whether they can afford to drop it. It's rare for a console to get cheaper within it's first year, so we're talking 2008 before there is a significant drop.

    No one in Japan bought an original Xbox but the other territories saved it. Microsoft are really chasing the japanese market now, with the new core unit and RPGs. They stirred up a lot of interest at TGS.

    Sony has the brand name and the promise of the big name games. At this point, that's enough to sell out. But if they don't back that up......

    Consoles have always looked shit. The PS2 looks like a glorified radiator. I think this is the best looking lot yet though. But we need Apple to start making consoles so we can get something that looks really good.

    I'm sorry, I must have missed the part of the press release that stated the Diablo was feminine... ;) American muscle is old-hat. Diablo sounds glorious, looks uber-smooth, and goes like the clappers. :)

    I want something that doesn't pamper me with driving aids... doesn't hold me back. Just man, with machine. Fused as one... no comromise, no unecessary shit.

    Thems was the days. And a well tuned US Muscle car will kill a supercar, any day of the week! For a fraction of the price, too.

    Give me a Tuscan, or Trans Am. A Superbird is kinda a pipe dream... they are rare fuckers.
