Thank you Kaff, at least some of us can get it right...........
Technically they're both a variety of turnip,but if you go to a grocer and ask for a swede, you'll get the big one with orangey insides, whereas if you ask for a turnip you'll get the little one with white insides.
(both sets of grandparents had vegetable gardens, and they both grew turnips, but NOT swedes)
