random girl / flowers questions

Is one of the main reasons you girls like getting flowers is to make other girls jealous from the attention your getting, be honest, do you rub their nose's in it? :p

Lets pretend your at work girls and you get flowers from someone (the message doesn't have name/or give away who sent it) Would you be happy, freaked out or not bothered?

If you had an idea who sent them would you confront bloke(s) openly/publicly, behind closed doors or not even bother with it?

Lastly...do flowers = kiss or bit of the old :naughty: stuff

    long time no see

no girl has ever got me flowers

i think a girl just likes to feel special, and if you go to the trouble of getting her favourite flowers and making them look all nice for her then... it can be nice.

far too commercialised these days though, find something original yet still romantic i think. maybe flowers too. in my limited experience girls take everythin u give them lol. unless they dont like you and they take it but say 'errr thaniks..'

Sending flowers = romance. Sending underwear = :naughty:

Personally, I'd like to know who sent them, within a couple of days, say. I'd rather he made the move to confirm it was him - I don't think I'd confront him face to face, would maybe do it by txt msg (modern girl, me!).

And, yes, I'd feel smug about receiving flowers in front of my colleagues. I did on my 21st... even if they were from my parents!

I'd be embarassed and uncomfortable if I got flowers at work, whoever they were from.

If it was anonymous, I'd ignore it, and think that the mystery person should have spent a wee bit more time finding out about me, and then he's know I think flowers are a rubbish gesture.

Chocolates, however, I could work with :thumb:

See this is what interest me - blokes assume flowers are safe bet (or maybe just me!)

Hello TheShyBoyInTheCorner, yes I decided to take night out of my busy life ;) and come see whats going on here.

I don't like receiving flowers to make anyone else jealous or any of that crap; I like it because I absolutely adore flowers and giving me them or a plant is the best gift I can get. While it's definitely a romantic, caring gesture -- if they show that they have listened and paid attention and got the right sort rather than some shitty carnation spray bunch from the Esso then it would be a definite bedroom pass (providing you actually know them/are seeing them and they aren't the creepy windowcleaner or something!).

I've been sent anonymous flowers before at Uni; but it was in halls rather than at work or anything like that. I thought it was really sweet, but it did make me rather suspicious of pretty much everyone until I found out who had sent 'em :)

I got flowers at work when I worked in my local village shop once... I was hugely embarrassed. They weren't even from a boyfriend, they were from a male friend. I'm sure I would be embarrassed now too. Although I do love flowers, and I would rather get them than chocolates :hyper:

Blokes who send girls flowers anonymously are fucking weird, unless it's Valentines Day but even then it's still a bit :nervous:

If it's her birthday or something (or if you're in the bad books for staying at the pub too long) then maybe give them to her when she's at home, but sending them to her work is a bit silly.

In my experience girls usually think that's creepy.

You can't be nice. That's not a good idea.

It is creepy to send them to girls work.

This Valentines day, this bloke from work sent me some roses, which was kinda nice, except I was in hospital the night before and therefore wasnt in work, cue the flurry of texts like "OMG JOHNS BOUGHT U ROSES?!11!?!!1'

So I had to face everyone the next day, and I was made out to be the bad guy because I wasnt interested. I think they thought flowers DID equal a bit of bish bash bosh :yuck:
