Is there a way of making it so that a user can do nothing on windows XP except start the programs that have shortcuts on the desktop? I literally want it so that they can do nothing else. Not create shortcuts or folders, not rename anything. If not, is there a program I can get that will allow me to do this?

I think you use a third party program that launches at start up.
What it is, I'm not sure, but at least there's a step in the right direction
Start -> Run
type in mmc and Press Enter
In the new window
File -> Add/Remove Snap-in
then Add
Group Policy or Gorup Policy Editor (dependingon your version)
Then in new window press Finish
Close the window where you selected the group policy thingy
Click OK in the other one...
You have now acces to te Local Cmputer Policy...
Just browse and edit as you wish...
I was looking at Desktop X which is basically a pretty front end for Windows, but it's a pain because it doesn't have a password protected option on it, so people can just exit it as they want.
oo cool What other tricks do you know :chin:
Im on XP Home
