Cuz ermmm, I don't know how to do it but want to block someone.

    click on the person's name
    on their profile on the right there will be a line that says "Add this user to your ignore list" or something along those lines...

    If you block somebody, can they still see your posts or are they blocked from seeing yours too?

    I have noone on ignore. I had some spammer who posted vile pictures once, but they got banned and their posts deleted, so it was a little redundant.

    Yeah, I had that guy blocked who posted a load of Turkish porn one time. That really offended my eyes. No-one other than that.
