Exactly how stupid do you think the average person is. Not that it's really relevant. As I ask stargalaxative, what makes you so special that you can draw the lines in the sand?

Oh well, Dutch families won't have to fight for their own version of Megan's law now. Just wait 'til election time, and you'll only need to look at what parties flyer everyone has in their front window.

I have every right and your just a stupid little girl that is trying to justify their party. This group of perverts stands for everything that the police and other agencies are trying to stop.

It doesn't matter if they get votes or not, having such a party ran by sick people like that is senseless and defies all moral and humanitarian values.

i can agree with that but ...how do you stop people holding views and expressing them?
i think everyone here agrees with you on that.

Of course it doesn't defy all moral values. It doesn't go against the founders of the party's moral values for a start.

It goes against your moral values, so you want it banned.

They have the right to think and even campaign for the legalisation of paedophilia, they won't get anywhere and will be derided for their opinions.

That's the way it should be, rather than you or someone else deciding what "all moral and humanitarian values" are and banning anything that doesn't conform.

According to whom? This is exactly the point and the problem with banning political parties. As I have already said, social morality is completely arbitrary and constantly shifting.

Fair enough, it's quite serious to say that freedom of expression should have its limits. In all honesty, it's something I haven't come to terms with myself. In general, I'll always say it shouldn't have a limit. But when applied to a case like this, it enters in direct conflict with other rights I think are just as fundamental - like Children's rights (which explicitly prohibits child pornography).
    I don't think it's that simple.

How does an expression of an opinion, harm children's rights?
No, actually the state does have responsibility for their protection. Not all parents are good parents, that's why children who are in such bad state and care can be taken away from parents if they fail to provide the basic care for them. Those laws were made to protect children.

    After the parents have failed.

Parental responsibility comes first, state comes second.

So why shouldn't supporters of thatpartuy have the right for their view to be represented?

And what gives you the right to determine whose view does get representation?

Just spare a thought for the people that have been raped by men (and woman) similar to these who are running and supporting this party. It is just rubbing it in their faces by bassically saying, "Hey, we like to rape kids, we don't give a shit how you feel just as long as we get are sick kicks."

Why would you want anyone to have a politcial party that wants child and animal sex to be legal? We work hard to try and stop child rapitists, child killers, kidnappers, animal abuse etc. yet it's perfectly ok to have a group of people that have commited crimes like child molestation to be able campaign to legalise the things ruin peoples lives?

So the people who belong and vote for the party are cunts? We know that and I'm not sure anyone is arguing otherwise. Doesn't mean we should ban the political party - otherwise where do we stop.

If they do commit crimes they should be jailed for that, but they shouldn't be banned for expressing an opinion repellent though it is.

Those are actions, not thought, opinions of political beliefs.

    There is a difference.

It is acceptable for the BNP to run a political campaign of anti-immigration. It isn't for them to force people out of their homes with intimidation and violence.

Yes it is. Just as it is okay for the Canabis Party to campaign (and the Lib Dems on that point ;) )

You need to learn to separate thoughts and actions.

If enough people vote for them then their views would have a mandate. Until then, and let's hope it never happens, they are just ideas and therefore no threat to anyone.

Were you planning to answer my question any time soon? Or are you afraid of the implications?

    But what's your point?

The people in this party think it is acceptable. It is an opinion they are fully entitled to hold. Acting upon that opinion is against the law of the Netherlands, and as such they would be prosecuted and punished under that law.
Why would you want anyone to have a politcial party that wants child and animal sex to be legal?

Why would anyone want to have a political state which chooses what its members can and cannot think?
