Guys and Flowers

Hello everybody,just thought I'd let u know I am a newcomer and there is a question I so wanna ask especially to the lads.I was just wondering,if u had received flowers from yr girl would u think its a sad prez or a good one.or do guys and flowers just do not mix.

I guess it would differ from guy to guy to be honest with you! Personally I wouldn't mind them but a Liam Gallagher wannabe would probably laugh at you.

Or Turtle would eat them. Is your guy a romantic kind of guy? If so then I don't think he would mind. I think most guys would prefer some nice choccies though.

i got my ex a valentine teddy bear one time and he was holding a rose! it was so sweet and i knew i had to get it!! he thought it was cute too but then again, he's that sort of guy. some hard guys would probably have a good laugh so i guess it's all really down to the guy himself. what kinda person he is.

but no matter how bad they are...don't think they'll go as far as eating them...right turtle?? hehehe...that's a good one!

last valentine's day i bought my ex a red rose.. or was it our year anniversary? lol who knows.. but he liked it and was really pleased and everything and thought it was romantic and not sad. but yeah i guess it depends on the guy.

If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

tim loves getting flowers and thinks that's one of the sweetest gifts he could ever get from a loved one.

flowers are the message that words cannot show because they have no picture, flowers show how you feel and are (to my mind) a far more complex and underrated gift than most people realise. Well i know im a girl, so it dont really answer ur question but,

id love someone to send me some flowers i think its well sweet,

ive had loadsa roses bough for me in clubs n stuff of girls and boys <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"> but no ones ever sent me some in the post for a surprise, i think that would be soooo nice!!

I reckon some of the guys ive been out with would run a mile if i sent them flowers, im wierd tho i send ppl chocolate lol.

your best bet is food with a bloke so the chocy idea is a good one....flowers tho? um...personaly id be very greatful but the two things dont tend to mix

I know that this is straying from the thread a little, but although I love the sentiment behind flowers I much prefer to see them where they are supposed to be, in the garden, or wild flowers growing in a meadow.

I think that the most romantic thing you can do for someone is to write them some poetry, from the heart.

Unfortunately I was out of the house all day yesterday and missed the florist, so I walked down there this afternoon with the card they left to tell me they'd been. I was absolutely gobsmaked when they presented me with a dozen red roses from my beloved... oh how my heart melted, I love flowers and have never been sent any before let alone roses.

Walking the 5-10 minute walk home the smiles I got from everyone obviously thinking some girl's luck!! one bloke even smiled and winked at me ... lol .. still I knew that they were for me and made me feel so special.

if i got sent 12 red roses, all i'd be able to think is 'my god, these cost him £50, and they'll be dead soon!'... i think one rose is enough (but still very expensive on valentines day! - £4 i think!)

True it's a very generous gift she sent, but still it was the sentiment on which she sent them that counts, I love H dearly because she's her and not for what she has possesion wise, the most important posession she has that I'm interested in is MY HEART, and she can have that always. Surely the most important thing when receiving a gift is to cherish the thought it was sent with, not how much it costs, if that's what you are thinking, then surely u aren't receiving the gift greatfully.

Thought I'd add that to preserve one I am slowly drying one of the roses out so that I can TREASUREfor the rest of my life.
