Which should I trust: Camera or Mirror?

When I look in the mirror, I get such an ego-boost, I actually look pretty decent, but when I take a picture of myself with my 6 MP camera, I look pretty crap, and I'm like "wtf happened"?

But it seems to be the same all the time, I look in the mirror, I look pretty good, take a picture, I'm average at best.

Which should I trust, the Camera or the Mirror? I'd rather trust a polished, American made high-lustre surface over a Chinese photocell and lense anyday - but I'm unsure.

Enlighten me.

    Look at any id/license/passport photo, pictures aren't friends of many

    It's the same for me. I look stunning in the mirror whereas in a picture, I look like shit.

    However, there are moments when I feel ugly in the mirror too, just like there are moments when I look stunning in photographs.

    It's all so confusing.

    I'd trust the mirror, or maybe a video camera, because that's more how people will see you rather than stuck in one pose. But never go to a club where they have mirrors near the dance floor, because you'll realise what a twat you look.

    I look awful in photos,Im so unphotogenic its unreal but I dont think im as bad in real life.
    Before I met NMM he thought I was a right minger in the photos, but he met me for charitys sake, and was pleasantly surprised :yes:

    dont really trust either tbh, i usually look a million time worse in photos, then theres 1 in every 100 i like of me.

    I don't know - maybe take a picture of yourself looking in the mirror.

    My best friend is stunningly beautiful in real life but always looks crap in photographs - whilst i'm not that stunning but photograph well...

    This is what I was going to suggest.

    Besides, this thread seems less about you in the mirror and more about your slagging off of foreign countries' products.

    I'd be more inclined to ask someone else what they think, if I were that bothered.

    You're best with a camera, because people are only nearly relectionally symetric and the orientation of yourself in the mirror is slightly askew of the real image. That's why Cher takes Polaroids in Clueless :p
