Maybe it's because I'm a huge cartoon fan boy but the older I get, the more I appreciate the Looney Tunes.
I'm watching the Rabbit of Seville for the millionth time and I still fold up with laughter. Chuck Jones is a superb director. (Youtube + search for 'rabbit of seville, if you have no idea what I'm on about.)
I just find it strange that I hated these cartoons as a kid but absolutley love them now. Road Runner = the pinnacle of slapstick style comedy.
I don't really have a point, I just think the Looney Tunes stuff has been forgotten a bit. Shame that the dvd collections are £30 or so.
I think I have a fetish for cartoon violence

I used to have a right good t-shirt of 11 Looney Toons all wearing england shirts. It was a quality top.
Ahh, but the star of the show was totally Wile E. Coyote, my favourite cartoon character ever.
Always wanted him to catch that damn Road Runner.
I liked Speedy Gonzalas!
And the hawk, I cannot remember his name. I think he played with Sylvester.
But thats the animaniacs, not loony toons
If it makes you feel any better you've got the song stuck in my head now!
