i dont know if there have been posts on this before, but i was wondering what people think of it, and do they believe that Tory Blair will actually hold a referendum on it

The euro is a fucking waste of time, and the double standards in the shops are pissing me off.
Why is it that they will accept money in Euros but not Dollars which are a far more viable currency?

The countries all have their independant features and there curency is one of them. Its like replacing all the Flags of the EU with just one.
Annoying, stupid, and as I said, a waste of f**king time and money!
No, really, I think that having the same coin with other countries is cool, only drawback is the confusion during the first 2 months.
Germany is dangerously close to the 3% deficit limit imposed upon them by the EU syndicate. If they reach this limit then they will be fined billions of Euros by the EU clerks.
The Euro is going to totally fuck this country right up the big brown arsehole.
Of COURSE Blair wont give us a referendum on the issue. He knows he would lose. Hes already given big businesses orders to take the Euro as a valid currency. He probably bribed them somehow. The French and German leaders have said Blair can have the EU presidency if he gets the UK to take up the Euro....He has been bribed. You think hes not willing to sell out his own fucking children, let alone this country to fulfill his ambition?
Diesel is right on the nail there. The Euro will lead to war. Doubtful it will be within a year because thats not enough time for all the EU economies to crumble. Its gonna take at least 5 years before we realise what a state we have let ourselves get into.
Blair needs to be dealt with soon.

Roger THAT, Cap'n...
It's a Fifth Reich.
Only now instead of fascism it's socialism.
Instead of a minority religion it's Christianity.
Instead of people being undesirable for a certain status, it's anybody who is independant and successful.
And instead of a "master race", it's people thinking they are better than everybody else because they think anybody who does not think like them (like liberals) are sub-human.
Where the Germans disarmed their undesirables, the Europeans disarmed themselves.
Where a Nazi propaganda system kept the people misinformed and docile, and there was a "Hitler Youth", the media and university systems have indoctrinated the youth and keep the rest of them not knowing that the youth are indoctrinated - and a degradation towards a society so steeped in a culture of self-gratification that nobody would care anyway.
Hitler would be proud.

Thinking is what makes us human, it is those that don't think that are sub-human. That we deliberately train people not to think is one of the necessary evils of this world.
I am nauseated by people who don't think for themselves, hiding behind tabloid editorials and crank web postings.
I would imagine you are going to be surprised then. Although you would probably be happy to see another war
The single european currency isn't something that I particularly wish to see, though I think that this will be a reality. Unless we pull out of the EU I doubt we'll have much in the way of choice... Referendum, I doubt it
And don't get me started on the loss of sovereignty and the emergence of a European superstate!
Edited to say:
The government says there will be a referendum when Mr Brown's 5 tests have been met. That'll be whenever it suits him then.

German finance minister Hans Eichel says Britain would be mad not to join the Euro.
"Everyone wins in the unity process and those who stay out weaken themselves and Europe as a whole."
His words should be seen for what they are - a desperate plea for dynamic Britain to breathe life into Europe's stagnant economic experiment.
It looks like Germany wants us to prop up their failed economy. Fat chance.
Lets see how they like their fixed Euro rates when their economy dives into freefall.
