Interesting, I didn't know the M-16 had been turned into an M-4, still looks like the old carbine version though. Can't help but think the Brits are pissed off with their SA-80's, I wonder what the special ops units are using??

I always thought he looked a bit of a tit with that krink against the wall. Id love to see him fire it considering hes a leftie.
Our new SA80s are gonna be sweet. At the moment our special forces guys are using M4s. Some of our Marines are using the Canadian version of the m16....pretty much anything they can get their hands on that doesnt fall apart.
New SA-80?!? Damn, my weaponry knowledge seems to be about a decade out of date. Are the US troops still running round with LAW-88's?? Dragons?? Still got TOW's fitted to M-113's?? Still using M-113's if it comes to that??
About the only innovation I've seen recently is the replacement for the Apache, which does look very mean and can do some impressive aerial gymnastics considering it's still a helicopter.

Of course, our new 'anti-matter' particle projector with it's magazine of magnetic/gel thermal loads will just be ever so swell...if they let us, US, use them! (just kidding)

Hmmm...my Father's obsession with all things terminal-at-a-distance kinda rubbed off on me I think.

You planning on going into the force full time when youre done with studies?
It would be quite novel having someone that knows about guns in the police <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Ive always fancied either the Police or the military...
When you say specialist firearms officer, is that one of those armed response units or is it the guy who organises and deals with civilian firearms?
Id be very hesitant to become an armed officer in todays climate. If you ever have to shoot someone you are definately looking at a long period of suspension and more than likely criminal charges these days...Or at least thats what it sounds like.

Id probably be interested in the firearms part of policing as well. Either the actual police firearms units, civilian firearms or forensic firearms investigation. Cant quite see how id say that to a ploice recruiter without sounding like a gun toting maniac.
Gotta go...I'll be back.
