Whats everyone here's favorite console game? All I have right now is PS2, so I'll start off by telling you all mine. It's JakX, that new racing/fighting game. Its really sweet and adds a whole twist to the series while keeping the story and everything fun. Definitely check this one out.

There is only ONE console game that could get that Award.

Alien Storm on the Megadrive. Closely followed by Gran Turismo 2.

Don't you dare! Mario kart was good, but not the best!

    Bomber man - SNES
    Sonic the hedgehog - megadrive
    Streets of rage - megadrive
    Mario 64 - N64
    Goldeneye - N64

you can't narrow it down, if you can you've not played many games... there's an absolute ASSLOAD of games i adore but not one i could call favourite.

mario, zelda, sonic, jsr, streetfighter, rez, guilty gear, sambe de amigo, ridge racer, quake, halo, pacman vs, animal crossing, tetris etc etc etc...................................

    Rules what exactly?

The PS1 had half the capabilities, but was twice the console. Says something.

Still, mario 64 was an amazing game! I'm not comparing it to anything else, just saying it was pretty cool. Not many good games, granted, but there were some corkers.

It's blasphemous to even mention Mario 64 when Mario brothers 3 (Nes) and Super Mario World (SNES) were so much better.

The Mario series in general were bastardized by the number 64.

 The Tower of Tragendy Quiz, i love games like banjo where they are tonnes of randomly fun levels and the things you are killing aren't humans on a mass bloody scale like most games my brother and boyfriend have.

...or you're just a bit more decisive... :p

not really noobz, anyone that names a singular title as best is either lying or forgetting about a vast catalogue of other games, that or they've not played enough.

there's been so many amazing game i've played, no doubt even i've forgotten some but i just cannot pick out a single title.

also mario 64 was superb, first truly 3d platformer with sublime control? to not recognise that you have to have issues. earlier mario games may have been more fun but 64 was hardly a travesty, 3d games today still can't seem to manage to be anywhere near as smooth to control and that's a sad fact.

    WWF No Mercy - N64

To the person who said that the N64 was a poor console is clearly mistaken, it was the best console for 3D platformers, Wrestling games, First Person shooters. Then there was also the geat Zelda games, ISS series, Mario party ect.

The N64 had some real classic games, there are still lots of people today playing:

    Mario 64
    Zelda OOT
    Zelda MM
    Mario Party
    Mario Golf
    Mario Tennis
    Donkey Kong 64
    Mario Kart 64
    Diddy Kong Racing
    Banjo Kazooie
    Super smash brothers
    WWF No Mercy
    Harvest Moon 64
    Perfect Dark
    Goldeneye
    Starfox 64
    FZero
    Episode 1 racer
    Sin and punishment (import)
    1080 snowboarding
    ISS2000
    Jet force Gemeni

All of the above games are great and helped the N64 become the great console it was, ive still got mine set up today.
