Im thinking what options ive got, and at the moment i dont think there are any, but ill see if theres any ideas here first before i settle for being doomed to live at home forever!
Im working 40hrs a week as a pharmacy dispenser, currently amounts to 10.5k. The more training i do the more i get but its not going to rise drastically. So how the hell am i going to afford to move out into a home of my own???
Id never get a mortgage on that so i looked into shared ownership- but even then if you could afford a smaller mortgage and rent theres still all the initial payments to be found, deposits, solicitors, surveys etc etc
And, dont have any savings either.
Im 22 and Ive worked since college but ive bought my cars, paid my insurance, petrol, car maintenence, go shopping for clothes, socialise with mates etc, only normal things. Until this yr i hadnt been on holiday for 5 yrs. I dont have anybody to help me out financially so all ive done really is earn enough to live on, thankfully though its kept me debt free.
But how on earth will i ever be able to afford my own place? Years of living extremely strictly to save enough for a deposit and hope i find a way of increasing my earnings?
The average house price here is £180k, its a joke
