**helen****helen** Deactivated Posts: 9,235 Supreme Poster
Hi ya

Here's one for all you budding journalists:

Reach for the Sky is launching a national competition to encourage young people across the UK aged 14-19 to report via their local media and the Reach for the sky website on news stories that are important to you and your local area and that would make the headlines.

The categories are:
a) Print - an article on a local news story to be written and supplied by the entrant.

b) Radio - a written outline of the interviews, locations and spokespeople that would make up a local radio news story, to be submitted with an overview of the whole story angle.

C) Television - a written outline of the TV interviews, locations and spokespeople that would make up a local TV news story, to be submitted with
an overview of the whole story angle and the kind of additional footage needed.

Entrants may apply for all three categories once or simply concentrate on a single category entry.

So, if you're a news hound waiting for your chance to shine then visit www.reachforthesky.co.uk for more details - (see the scroll bar on the homepage.) The competition is running from now and the closing date for entries in Friday 5th May 2006 :thumb:
