  the internet is a great place to meet people, but it's a shite place to then conduct a relationship.

  I agree. I met mine on livejournal, but we met in the real world soon after and things started from there.

  I met my fiancee online almost 6 years ago now. We were friends for the 5 years and didnt manage to meet up and get together untill June last year. It was well worth the wait. Couldnt live without him now.
