Just wondering what you guys think is the best seaside resort around the UK.
Yeah yeah i know maybe its not exactly the warmest times at the minute but just looking to go to the seaside for the day with a few people and just wondering what the best resorts are. Good food, good arcades etc etc
Edit: sorry didn't edit anything - just clicked into it by mistake!

Whitby would be my choice in England, or Southport on t'other coast. They're both gorgeous.
Brighton's great for a day trip - great shops/arcades and restaurants - lookit and Bournemouth is also a lively place to go - have fun and wrap up warm
if you want all out skank try blackpool, always top laugh there but a bit scummy.
brighton was fun as well...
hmmm trying to think of elsewhere.
but no1 = whitley bay, been loads of times
You can't beat South Shields for a freezing cold walk on the beach, wasting hours and a ton on the nudge and a cone of greasy-heart-attack-inducing chips. Class night out as well, if you're good at dodging fists. But you can get your practise in at Whitley Bay first anyhow.
Soof Sheelz is a nice place to go for a walk, although not on a Saturday night.
I can't understand how anyone can like Whitley Bay. It's horrid. Especially when Tynemouth is just down the coast.
Western-Super-Mare is a quality day trip! :thumb:
Have to agree with Koe there, Whitley Bay is superb for a day out.
The rides are the only redeeming feature of Blackpool. I'd only go there on the lash if I wanted to get in touch with my inner herpes.
Whitby is great- the chippy and the fudge shop are open all year, what more do you want?

Fuck I loved that place when I was younger. Barrys!
You can't beat Barry's, I dread to think how much of my pocket money I wasted in there. :grump: And the Ghost Train...heh.
I agree with Kermit that the rides are the only good thing about Blackpool, they're certainly the only reason I'd go. Every night out I've had there has been turd.
i think the turd when you go out in blackpool, would be the vast majority of other people drinking there
its like wanker central
all as bad as each other, maybe im just used to it by now.
Yeah but the thing about Blackpool is that attracts misfits from all around, its like the bright lights attract them all. Blackburn, Preston etc haven't got half as many wreckheads as Blackpool.
