Sponsor your favourite group of people

In communities all over TheSite.org, moderators face a miserable and uncertain existence. They are a small group of decent, hard-working people. Yet they are persecuted on a daily basis. They're only doing their jobs, yet they suffer each day. Each time our dearest moderators log on, they have to deal with threads full of idiots fighting each other. They also have to deal with spammers wasting everyone's time. Yes, TheSite.org moderators are a hard done by group.

But now you can help change this - by sponsoring a moderator today.

For just 50p a day, you'll make a real impact on the life of a moderator and TheSite.org community. Your monthly gifts will help them deal with the stresses of moderating forums. For example, just £20 a month will keep our moderators stocked up with enough tea to last a week. (probably) And for just £50 a month, you can help prevent your moderator from getting a headache as they read the 3million daily reports of "OMG!?!?!WTF?!?!?!!Spam!WTF???!!spamOMG!!!".

Don't delay - sponsor our favourite moderators today.

:):p

I wanted to write "your moderator will write to you each month", but that reminded me too much of those "Sponsor A Pet" adverts.

My head, or heads in general? :p

I just feel a lot of sympathy for the moderators. Each time they come onto the boards, they have to deal with idiots spamming the boards, posting absolute crap, or they see us fighting! Moderating isn't a job I'd like. I would probably go insane at having to do that job. I think Mazza said to me the job "requires the patience of a saint". Suddenly, I can see exactly what she meant.

The mods know I like them, I sent them a Christmas card. Jim V tells me they were delighted. :)

The animal or did you give some one money to crouch slightly?
An animal. He was a mallard duck called Captain Beaky. He has lost his beak and had been given a replacement one. He was being cared for by St.Twiggywinkles wildlife hospital. He was put back in the wild when he had recovered.

    ....What?

NAH! 50p is better in my pocket, like. If I have 4 50p pieces, I can get a pint. Freck that for a laugh.
