Somebody doens't need to be funny either. Its what you want. I'm sure the homeless guy with the bike has a real nice personality, but I want a little more in life than what I think he can offer :p

yeah but personality doesnt immediatly make you fall in love with someone either. Someone has to have the lot, and there has to be a spark too, and if I felt that spark with a homeless person with not a penny to their name, then id want to be with him more than someone with a bulging wallet, flashy car but wasnt on my wavelength.

well its sad, but thats what a lot of people want. I dont understand it though, it reminds me a bit of prostitution.

Hardly. Its not the 80's or such where only women are portrayed as the golddiggers. Men want the rich bitches too ;)

more than someone with a bulging wallet, flashy car but wasnt on my wavelength.
Well, if you found someone with a buldging wallet, flashy car and WAS on your wavelength, you wouldn't say no would you?

I'd like my guy to not be forever skint - so he can do the manly things like take me out for dinner once in a while - and he pays.

But that's just me. Ilora x

Everyone got the right to want different things...

Also in my opinion, taking a girl out and paying for dinner is not a manly thing.
It's only known as a manly thing cos it romance have been so corrupted by media. Being manly is be there in case you need help, be able to bring you up when you are down, protect your partner or family... For me that's what is being manly, paying for dinner doesn't make a guy a man.

well yeah, but your soul mate might be poor, and you wouldnt give him the time of day cos he didnt have the cash, and then its you who loses out.
You could be turning your nose up at the chance of real happiness because money certainly is no substitute for love.

if you found the same guy, one rich but one ok off, enough to live on and have an ok house etc etc... you'd pick the rich guy, if a guy did that he'd get flamed for being a gold digger,

might not be wrong but it seems alot of females are mainly interested in money and you kind of proved it there

I don't think that's a particularly bad thing to prove!
So, I like money... it's not a crime.

All my past 'boyfs' have been from wealthy backgrounds, but it wasn't something I knew beforehand - it was just a coincidence...
