  Maybe it was a Kiesthaus, looks about the right size. Do these have longer hair than a GSD?

  Might have been an akita? Very large dogs. Some can look like a very large husky and some can look alsatianish depending on their bloodlines.
  
  Malamutes, husky, akitas, elkhounds, chows etc. are all roughly similar due to the coats and the tails. They're some of the hardest dogs to own because they are so bloody stubborn and indenpendent. I'd have loved to own a husky but they deserve a lot of time, space and someone who is an excellent trainer and knows what they're doing.
  So i ended up with an elkhound, who's an ignorant little scroat :thumb:
