If they don't find anything then it should give them evidence that the vast majority of muslims have nothing to do with terrorism
But it just so happens that most terrorists actions across the globe are now conducted by Islamist nutcases.
They would? Do you really think that?
Yes terrorist actions are commited by Islamists, but they are a tiny tiny minority of everyone of the religion. Its just an excuse for the US governent to take more control over the people, purely for being of a different religion.
Of course I do! Its the governments job to investigate to the best of its ability any threat to national secutiry. It just so happens that radical Islamists are the number one threat at the moment, thus it makes sense to keep some sort of watch on the internal muslim community. I'm sure the US govt keeps an eye on other types of terrorist - left wing, facist and yes I'm sure Christian nutters.
Yes, but they hide within the mass. If the Muslim community was more forthcoming in pushing out the extreme elements insdie itself, these measures would not be necessary.
maybe theyre just afraid of getting nuked ?
not exactly right but when it comes down to it they're just being safe
But in the case of inside to U.S. boarders, yeah, probably siad nutcases.
Then why do we see no violent Christian Extremists getting treaded the same as Islamic ones? Beause, they are the majority.
It's not a direct US attack this - I understnad why. We in the west, are christian. Just like most of the middle east isn't that harsh on islamic terrorism, we are not that harsh on Christian Terrorism. It's obvious, really. The Majority of the US are Christian, so any Extremist Christians are probably OK. The majority of hte middle east likewise with Islamic Extremists.
It made me laugh this, when I heard it. Do they actually think they'll find anything at all?
Well the Christian oens dont go around blowing up themselves and massive buildings and killing thousands of innocent civilians
No, we did kill millions in our time though.
Even today, they attack with the intent and distinict possiblity of death, people like Abortion Workers, and so forth.
Hell, the Klan is still doing well, and I see no action against it or its actions?
Yes but they aren't fighting on behalf of Christain causes. They just happen to be Christain. Though, it's true to say most Islamic terrorists don't fight for Islamic causes either, it's usually nationalism or hatred of west/Israel.
In name only as demonstrated by their actions.
Quite. Islam is not represented by their actions. The actions are that of a Fanatical person. Fanaticism is dangerous, not any particular beleif set. Fanaticism for any beleif.
It's just it makes it easier to label someone as an enemy. It was the Commies/Ruskies (Notice the word became interchangable?), not they aren't as dangerous is the Muslims/Terrorists, in the same manner.
Fucking cunts... branding a whole bunch of people. I really hope they haven't put up Christmas deccies around Baghdad.
Come on, use your fucking head.
But the way they've gone about it, makes it seem we should be suspicious of ANYONE who is Muslim, they might explode!
It's completley blown outof proportion. The media are cocks, really.
Not just a bunch of people with some ideas. Just like the Soviets had a HUGE spy network, all of them armed with the latest technology. Not really about 20 years out of date. Just like the Huge underground Cities Al Queda was meant to have in Afghanistan. And just like Saddam's WMD's...
No. But something along those lines would be required for the existence of a plot. Hence, it was fabricated so we could do this.
In reality, it's just a bunch of chaps with the same idea. No big plot at all. If there was a plot, we'd know about it, and it would never have gotten a chance to form into anything. It'd have been infiltrated and crush before that.
Instead, it's a bunch of people with ideas in their heads, thinking they can make somesort of difference. They see actions of others on TV, and they think "We could do something like that, and be Heroes for the cause!"
The exact problem for us, is that there is no plot. There is therefore, nothing for us to go on.
But certainly, as the multiple Ialamist terrorist outrages of the past few years have shown - Islamist terrorism is implacably opposed to the Western way of life and its adherents are willing to immolate themselves to see it destroyed.
Basically, there isn't a solution, except show them Democracy works. It would be great. Except, we've shown them only that it makes a royal mess so far, alienating them more. Good idea, but executed poorly sofar, meaning popular support for the Extremists... as opposed to before, where it was just a few poorley organised fellows, with not much availible.
I haven't noticed the media promoting the "all muslims are blah blah blah" line.
In fact, much of the media denied a serious problem with extremism within the British Islamic population right up to London attacks.
I've talked to muslims about this, some lapsed, others zealots, and they all hold a similar anti-Western stance. Those sort of views - or, at the least, sympathy towards those sort of views, i'd say were fairly standard amongst the islamic community - the "fanatics" merely act upon their conviction whilst others remain placid...armchair critics if you like.
We can't show claim to gift them democracy when we allowed Saddam to wipe out the insurgency after the gulf war...if installing democracy was our aim, Saddam would've been kicked out of power well over a decade ago by his own people...anyone who knows what's what over there can see what we're doing is about as far removed from genuine democracy as you can get.
Appointing a bunch of yes-men to protect western interests and mouthing about "democracy" is sickening.
I think you'll find that you are ..............WRONG

Muslims aren't the only ones that blow up buildings.
If you want to see real Terrorism take a look at the USA's gun statistics
http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/guns.htm
In 1999, approximately 10,096 people were murdered by guns in the United States.[1]
In 1998, over 30,000 people died from gunshots in the U.S.[2]
A gun kept in the home is 22 times more likely to kill a family member or a friend than it is to be used against an intruder.[3]
10 children are killed by guns in the U.S. every day, on average.[4]
In 1996, handguns were used to murder 2 people in New Zealand, 15 in Japan, 30 in Great Britain, 106 in Canada, 211 in Germany, and 9,390 in the United States.[5]

Christian terrorism in the United States
In the United States, the most frequent examples of Christian terrorism include the intimidation of abortion clinic employees and patrons, and the murder of abortion providers by (occasionally self-professed Christian) anti-abortion extremists.
Recently the controversy over Terri Schiavo's death has caused many extremist Christians to make death threats against Schiavo's husband and Judge George Greer, who ordered the brain-damaged woman's feeding tube to be pulled. One man had planned to kidnap Mrs. Schiavo from the hospice where she was in a plan that most likely would have involved violence, but police had stopped him.
Eric Rudolph engaged in terrorist activities closely associated with Christian terrorism, such as the targeting of abortion clinics and the bombing of a gay nightclub; also, Rudolph had been suspected to be associated with the Christian Identity organization. However, Rudolph has himself refuted such associations, writing that he "prefers Nietzsche to the Bible" and espousing an Atheistic philosophy.
