Nah that's just the nickname, did your newry mate say that to you?
as if it's below you or something. why would i want to pay £25 for a pair of shorts when i can get them for a fiver in primark? and don't say because it would be better quality, because it's not. they have satin and cotton ones exactly the same as you'd find in topshop or oasis.
it's not all brilliant, but you shouldn't just dismiss it.
I also buy most all my make up there. I wear all the store brands like Covergirl and Revelon and they sell them there cheap.
Primark isn't lik Walmart, I've been to the walmarts inthe USA and Canada, walmart is a whole different kinda shop, our closest stores to Walmart are Tesco and Asda (who are owned by Walmart)
But neither come close to stocking as much non food stuff as a walmart.
Primark is probabaly more like Target.
I personally really like Primarks stuff. They basically keep up to date with what other stores have, like top shop, river island, etc, only selling them a whole lot cheaper and the quality is still pretty good. I love getting all me accessories out of there as well. They're fab.
I was aware of their non-existent ethics, but as people have said, you can't really expect anything better when you could buy a whole new wardrobe of clothes for 50 quid. I have a friend who works in the Newcastle branch and she says it's an thankless task; folding clothes that people sling around, getting shouted at about sizes, evil supervisor. It's obviously not bad enough for her to leave, though...
All in all, I much prefer shopping in the sales and getting something that was originally expensive and is now a real bargain. I have to wonder what a Primark sale is like...
Primark store must be really different over there.
Got a fit stripey blue/grey jumper for a tenner, some fit beads for £1.50, 60 denier tights for £1.50, and 6 pairs of socks for £2.
Can't go wrong!
Not sure.... 10 to maybe 18-20. I couldn't see any 8s
