When telling somebody how far somthing is, like driving wise or something, do you tell them in minutes or miles.

Example. Do yousay, the store is about 2.5 miles south, or aoubt 5 minutes south.

Miles. But I normally say its about x miles, it will take about x minutes, so both really.

If someone is asking for a place far away I say "10 or so miles down the road", but close, i'd say "oh just a 5 min drive down the road"

And yes, I've sent people the wrong way before. It's a good buzz!

Depend's on the distance you're talking about really, but i suppose miles is the right way to do it. You could say Sheffield is a 40 minute drive from Manchester, but you get stuck behind a HGV on the snake pass, and it becomes a 90 minute drive.

It's still 30 miles Manchester to Sheffield regarding the traffic.

Think if you're on foot, or it's literally on your doorstep, it's fine to say a few miutes away.

Never believe those farmers either, who say "it's only a mile up the road", because 1 country mile = 10 si miles. Lying twats!!!!
