I'm talking about your New Year's Resolutions. Yes, the list of things you promise yourself that you're going to do, but more often than not, don't. So, what are your resolutions, if any, for 2006?
I've only got three resolutions for next year, of varying difficulties to adhere to:
(1) I promise to myself that I'm actually going to go to university next September, assuming I am accepted, and that I will not shy away. I'm not going to suddenly get cold feet, I'm not suddenly running away. I've got to do it.
(2) I promise to every single day appreciate the people I can call true friends. I want to show my friends every day that they mean everything to me.
(3) I promise I'm going to try my hardest to beat my depression/schizophrenia for good.
What about yours? Are you going to keep to yours after about January 10th? Or do you just not believe in making New Year's resolutions?

We've had a thread on resolutions already btw.
I shall save money towards a new car instead of blowing it all on booze/gadgets
I shall ...
Oh who am I kidding!
I shall join the gym and start eating healthily and drinking less.
I shall start a savings account.
I will also try not to hate semantics quite so much.
but i might sort of make sure i actually do all me work towards me customer service level 3 nvq thathas to be done rather than putting it off
1) To continue with not smoking. This one *should* be easy. But we'll see.
2) To get a decent job where they're not going to take advantage of my character.
3) To keep up with all work.
4) To not fail IB this year.
5) And the really hard one - to get over the ex and not let him affect my relationships anymore.
I shall work hard to pass my PGCE.
I will not get disheartened when applying for jobs and not get them.
I shall be less of a stresshead.
Most of these are linked ...
That's it - everything else is as I want it to be.
I will work harder for my degree (which is more of an ongoing goal, really).
I will lose lots of weight.
And be more organised as well
Fat chance of any of that happening, to be honest!
I also want to fix up my old bike so I can sell it and be rich, and to start wearing a cycle helmet (after having witness a not-so-nice cyclist/bonnet collision the other day).
and resolution (1.5) therefore is: I shall pass my driving test before my 18th birthday in November 2006
I shall drink too much beer at my new local pub, which sells two-pint pitchers of ale for under £3.
I shall swear and scare the neighbours whenever building IKEA furniture.
I shall dance on fergie's grave when he dies.
