  But a mistake of such vast magnitude and importance?
  
  It wasn't just a little mistake like 'oops I spilt the milk' it led to a full scale war with tens of thousands of casualties as a result of the gross incompetence of the intelligence agencies (and their bowing to political pressure)

  It wasn;t as bad as its made out. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon that it was all false and the governments couldnt be bother or saw it as too long to prove anyone wrong, so decieded to say they were wrong on one front and right on another and hoped it would carry them through. It would have happened sooner or later I promise you that.

  the biggest failure I think was the after plan, dirching Powell's plan and goin for Rumsfeld, a guy who really was not as qualified as Powell to make such a plan.
